Laurel MCA provides active participation in the following industry organizations.


APPRENTICE INFORMATION COMMITTEE OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA

The AIC is a private, voluntary organization of the union construction industry, established to publicize and distribute information concerning apprenticeship opportunities in the union construction crafts. Currently, the AIC has approximately 100 members from construction, labor, management, community groups, educational organizations and disadvantaged and minority populations.

MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, INC.

The MCAA is a national mechanical trade association which was formed in 1889. The MCAA is devoted to providing mechanical contractors with the information and tools they need not only to survive, but thrive. Membership benefits range from educational programs, safety and loss prevention programs, business services, many publications, computer information technology services, cooperative labor/management relations and legislative and regulatory action programs.

PENNSYLVANIA ALLIANCE FOR FAIR COMPETITION

The PAFC is a coalition of associations, organizations, companies and individuals whose purpose is to ensure that independent businesses are not disadvantaged by unfair or anti-competitive business practices within the industry.

PENNSYLVANIA BUILDERS ASSOCIATION

The PBA is a non-profit, statewide trade association chartered in 1952 and is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders. The goals of the PBA are to provide support services to local association and members, to create a positive regulatory and legislative environment, to keep housing affordable and to be a source of education and professional development for members.

PITTSBURGH BUILDERS EXCHANGE

The PBE is a non-profit service organization established October 7, 1886 and incorporated in 1894 for the encouragement and benefit of the construction industry. Members are composed of contractors, subcontractors, material dealers, manufacturers representatives, architects, engineers and many others affiliated with the construction industry. The PBE keeps members informed on current building projects, bidding and other information of interest to the construction industry.

TRI-STATE CONSTRUCTION USERS COUNCIL

The USERS COUNCIL was established in 1985 and whose purpose is primarily to effect more cost effective construction, benefiting users of construction. Through exchange and disseminations of useful information, encouragement and implementation of recommendations, systems and programs which will result in more cost-effective construction.
